SATS Lounge Looping Animation
Role : Producer, Art Director, Video Editor
For my Final Year Project in Polytechnic, I worked on a project for SATS with 7 other group members to create a 30 minutes looping animation for their lounge launch.
Collaborating with SATS on this project was an enriching and fulfilling experience that allowed me to dive deep into the essence of Singapore and translate it into a visual journey. It allows us to learn and to be able to appreciate Singapore’s rich heritage and culture as me and my team create this calm, visually captivating video that highlights the beauty and diversity of Singapore, while catering to the lounge customers.

First Phase
The first step involved thorough research on the customer profile of lounge users. Understanding that these individuals are often seasoned travellers or business travellers with a refined taste for luxury and a keen interest in culture and aesthetics was very important.
This insight guided the overall art direction, ensuring that every visual element is elegant and it will be calm so that it would not be too distracting.
Art Directing Different Art Directions
Incorporating five distinct art directions,modern architecture, greenery, culinary artistry, cultural richness, and daily life, required a lot of planning, and especially when we are bringing 5 different art directions together, all artists have to work hand in hand and should stay open and acceptive of one another’s style.
Seeing Our Work Showcase
Seeing the final project showcased in SATS’s airport lounge is a moment of immense pride and satisfaction. The calm, sophisticated video definitely provides the lounge customers a serene glimpse of Singapore. The positive feedback from some viewers assured that the research, thoughtful conceptualisation, and careful execution paid off.
Working on this SATS Project as a Producer, Art Director and Editor was a remarkable journey of creativity and precision. It was an opportunity to blend art and storytelling in a way that resonates with audiences, creating a visual narrative that is both calming and captivating.
